Previously priced between Rs 55,000 and Rs 70,000, three-day packages from Hyderabad, including airfare, accommodation, meals, and sightseeing, are now available for Rs 45,000 or even lower. Premium five-star packages, once selling for over Rs 2.5 lakh, have dipped below Rs 2 lakh, travel agents said. While Maldives has no fixed season, it has always been a favourite 'quick getaway' among locals. "Typically, when it's a long weekend, bookings for Maldives are common until the last day due to its reasonable cost and visa-on-arrival facility."
